Born and raised in Milwaukee, Rep. Madison graduated from Ronald Reagan IB High School before attending Howard University. He has been organizing in Milwaukee since he was a teenager. From 2016-2018, Rep. Madison worked with Public Allies Milwaukee as part of the Education Pathway program where he developed skills and relationships that continue to help him to this day. Since completing his service with Public Allies, Rep. Madison has worked at the Urban Ecology Center, the City of Milwaukee Environmental Collaboration Office, Youth Justice Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Turners, and the African American Roundtable. In 2020, Rep. Madison ran and won his campaign to represent Wisconsin State Assembly District 10 - which represents Shorewood, Glendale, and a portion of Milwaukee. Since becoming a State Representative, he has championed; a Conditions of Confinement package to reform Wisconsin’s inhumane prisons and jails, free and healthy school meals for every child in Wisconsin, and a Green Amendment to Wisconsin’s Constitution which would guarantee that the people of Wisconsin, including future generations, have the right to a clean, safe, and healthy natural environment.
